The LSU Tigers softball team participates in the Southeastern Conference. They are currently coached by head coach Yvette Girouard and assistant coaches James DeFeo and Megan Smith. They play home games in Tiger Park. LSU has won five SEC championships and have been to the Women's College World Series twice.
LSU did not field a softball team from 1982-1996.
