Lucille (comic)

Lucille is also the guitar that Ryusuke, a main character from the Manga/Anime Beck (manga), plays. Lucille, and its history, are based heavily on that of B. B. King's guitar of the same name.

Lucille's owner, Sonny Boy Waters, is probably the amalgamation of several influential Blues musicians such as Sonny Boy Williamson II, Muddy Waters and Robert Johnson. Robert Johnson's death shares similarities with Sonny Boy's, having been shot and poisoned for fooling around with a married woman, while performing at a dance. Eric Clapton called Johnson "the most important blues musician who ever lived," fitting in even more with the information from the series.
