[edit] Who am I?
Hello. My name is Luccent. I am 20 years old and I am a student at Durham University. I read geography. I am a finalist. I was born in BMH Rinteln, in the German state of Niedersachsen and lived the first five years of my life in Gütersloh, North Rhine Westphalia, Germany. Our family then moved closer to relatives in Bridgend,Wales.
[edit] What am I doing here?
Pretty much the same as you really. I would like to understand the world a bit more. And impart my knowledge.
[edit] How much is that doggy in the window?
I don't know. But thanks to inflation it will be more expensive when you come back for another look. Unless you live in Japan because there was deflation there. Which is bad for a market economy. I don't like annimals much anyway. Nor do I like taxidermy. I saw a documentary on BBC2 about them so I think they are special people.
[edit] What am I interested in?
I read Geography and I am particularly interested in Transportation management. I hope in the future to complete a MPlan / MA / MSc in something to do with Transportation management or Town Planning, and possibly onwards to a DPhil or PhD. I am doing my dissertation on "A Post-structuralist philosophical re-evaluation of literature produced on the South Wales Disturbances during the 1910s and 1920s especially in reference to Irish Immigration" Although I doubt there is much need for a page about that on Wikipedia. I am hoping it is obscure enough to fool the examiners. They should have absolutely no knowledge of this topic. I also realise it is completely away from transportation (well, expect riots on trains and ships and the like) but planning is something sensible to do when I need to earn some money, this topic is a culmination of everything I've learnt in Durham.
I am also well versed in the local geography of South Wales.
I speak French and Welsh more or less fluently. I speak Italian to a lesser degree and Spanish is very easy to read. I am attempting to learn German, with some success. Although it is a lot harder to stick at than the others were. I also am going to learn Russian soon, for my travels, and a tinsy winsy bit of Arabic and Persian.
In 2007, I am planning a voyage across former Soviet States - except that is Russia (funnily enough). I am going to spend some time in the Caucasus region, Iran, and the Central Asian Republics. So I will also be able to add to wikipedia when I get back with lots of pretty pictures.
[edit] Who are you?
Come on, speak up.
