[edit] History
[edit] History of the name
The name Lyrio, a relatively uncommon name for a girl in classical European culture, originates from a derivative of the Lyre, the instrument of Greek Mythology. A lyre is a stringed musical instrument well known for its use in Classical Antiquity. The recitations of the Ancient Greeks were accompanied by it.The lyre is a member of the zither family, and was ordinarilly played by strumming, like a guitar, rather than being plucked, like a harp.
In ancient Greece the lyre was an attribute of Apollo and symbolized wisdom and moderation. Lyres were associated with Apollonian virtues of moderation and equilibrium, contrasting the Dionysian pipes which represented ecstasy and celebration. According to ancient Greek mythology, the young god Hermes created the lyre from the body of a large tortoise shell (khelus) which he covered with animal hide and antelope horns.
In medieval Europe new varieties of lyre emerged that, like the kithara, were box lyres, although their precise relation to the lyres of Classical antiquity is not known. The lyres of modern East Africa probably reflect ancient diffusion of the instrument via Egypt.
The Lyra, a northern constellation depicting the Lyre, was also used an inspiration for the brands design. Beginning at the north, Lyra is surrounded by the Dragon Draco, the Greek hero Hercules, the Little Fox Vulpecula and Cygnus the swan.
The Lyre gave name to the species of verse called lyric, to which it originally furnished an accompaniment.

[edit] ShoreTel System Overview
The ShoreTel system is a fully distributed IP phone system with no single point of failure. Call control is distributed to intelligent gateways - called voice switches - and voice applications, including voicemail and automated attendant, run on standard server hardware from anywhere on your IP network. The result is a single-image system across all geographies, with complete feature transparency. The days of multiple PBXs, voice mail systems, automated attendants, and ACD systems are over. With ShoreTel, the phone system is distributed, the voice applications are integrated, and the management interface is best in class.
The flexibility of the ShoreTel phone system allows it to be configured to your particular business needs.
