{{helpme}} One user keeps vandalising Feliks Koneczny can anyone do something about it?? M0RD00R 23:03, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
- I've removed the {{helpme}} for now so it stops pinging, let me check into the history, and see what can be done. — Deon555talkdesksign here! 23:05, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
Thanks. M0RD00R 23:06, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
- Hmm... I can only see two instances of vandalism, and they've already been warned twice. Consider using {{subst:test2}} or {{subst:test3-n|Feliks Koneczny}} if it continues (in that order) . If they continue past {{test3}}, report to AIV. — Deon555talkdesksign here! 23:14, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Re: HI
Hi Mordoor, you can do the following:
- Discuss the issue on the talk page with the other users involved, calmly.
- Try Wikipedia:Requests for comment
- Look at Wikipedia:Resolving disputes
- Try Wikipedia:Third opinion
- Try Wikipedia:Wikiquette alerts though this has a backlog so may take a while, I suggest the others first.
I hope that helps! Regards, SGGH 14:51, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

- You may want to ask him about it on his talk page or the article talk page as well, to try to reach a common ground. SGGH 14:57, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

He may be beliving that he is contributing helpfully (and of course I can't say that he isn't, I don't know anything about the topic) I suggest asking him to stop and involving some sort of dispute resolution while asking him to explain his edits, perhaps requesting protection for the article (I'm not sure if you can request it from me off the bat or whether you have to go through proper channels, if its the latter then I'll do it for you). Ask him to explain and you yourself must explain why you believe the edits to be unhelpful. I'll ask him too SGGH 15:36, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

- I've asked him to go into more detail about his edits on the talk page, hopefully that will help :) SGGH 15:40, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
-
- You haven't wasted my time at all.... why do you say that? Did I miss one of your questions or something? It wasn't my intention to give you a negative impression... please clarify SGGH 15:53, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
Oh I see, I understand how irritating it can be, it's just that what one user sees as unhelpful contributions another user could see as helpful with equal conviction, and it's sometimes so difficult to open a dialogue. Unfortunatly I myself don't know enough about the topic to judge in this case which user is making more helpful edits, so opening a dialogue with the other user is your best bet :) happy editing! [edit] Third Opinion
Hey, I was going to weigh in on the article, and wanted to hear what you felt the major disagreement was. I think I know, but it would help me understand the breadth of the situation if you tell me yourself. You can respond on my Talk Page, where I've set up a section heading specifically for this. - Thanks for getting back to me quickly. I've noticed in the article that the grad student is wikilinked. Did she have an article at one point? If so, when was it deleted? Arcayne 19:31, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

Perhaps you'd be interested in updating this article. It's a FA, but honestly, it's not up to modern standards, and it can use all the help - referenes, particulary - it can get.-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk 20:56, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
