Mactara

MacTara Limited[1], Nova Scotia's largest sawmill was established in 1968 and as of 2005 produced approximately 130 million board feet (310,000 m³) of finished, kiln dried lumber annually, as well as 85,000 metric tonnes of wood pellets.
In 2006, with more than 200 employees in its Upper Musquodoboit location, MacTara's main mill site is a major employer in the Musquodoboit Valley.
