Talk:MADtv recurring characters
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The section about Bobby Lee's character 'Tank' was in need of some improvement, mainly grammatical. But the last sentence seems a bit incoherent to me -
'He is a loser who gets a date so he tries to pick up girls outside clubs and impress them with his car.'
It should be noted that I'm not all that familliar with this character. However, here are my points: First off, although we are talking about a fictional character, and calling him a 'looser' may not be at all unprecedented, In my opinion it's a formulation to be avoided, due to neutral point-of-view issues. Second, I find the sentence a bit contradictory. If there is reason to refer to him as a looser, would he have a date? And if he did, would he have need to impress girls outside of clubs?
Can someone please clear this up? --GSchjetne 17:42, August 17, 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Antonia's Cat
is it, indeed, Cece? or is it Fifi? Whateley23 04:52, 28 October 2005 (UTC)
- I'm pretty sure it's Cece. --DrBat 14:32, 28 October 2005 (UTC)
- Since my uncle is deaf, he had to have the captions on, and it has been noted that it was spelled both ways, but I've even seen it being spelled Cici. Edwardw818 23:18, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Swan's ethnicity
I always thought Miss Swan was Korean. "Kuvaria", the way she pronounced it, seems to sound like "Korea" (to me, at least).
Iirc, the character is largely based on Koreans. It might have specifically been a relative, or hair stylists... I don't rememeber. But she explains it on an episode of Loveline. It's probably somewhere on the internet.70.66.9.162 08:45, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Lorraine
I think the popularity of Mo Collin's lorraine Swanson character, I think the character deserves a paragraph or two, what do you think? --mike 17:12, 29 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Cabana Chat Episode 318
There's a guy that Phyllis Diller brings out as a surprise for Dixie's new poolboy, but I was wondering the actor's name. Phyllis Diller says to Dixie: "He's mute, but I feed him oysters!" Was just wondering if there was a way to find out that actor's name.
