Maine Superior Court

The Maine Superior Court is the trial court of Maine's judicial system. The court is located in each of the sixteen counties of Maine (and in two locations within Aroostook County.) The court is composed of sixteen Justices, all of whom travel to different counties to hold court. They are appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Maine Senate.
