Make a Wish

Make a Wish is a musical with a book by Preston Sturges and Abe Burrows and music and lyrics by Hugh Martin.
Based on The Good Fairy by Ferenc Molnár, it focuses on Janette, who experiences various adventures, including love with young artist Paul Dumont, when she abandons her tour group during a visit to Paris.
Produced on Broadway by Harry Rigby, Jule Styne, and Alexander H. Cohen, directed by John C. Wilson, and choreographed by Gower Champion, it opened on April 18, 1951 at the Winter Garden Theatre, where it ran for 102 performances. The cast included Nanette Fabray, Stephen Douglass, Helen Gallagher, Melville Cooper, and Harold Lang.
