Makin' Memories

"Makin' Memories" is the presentation and song which proceeded the "Magic Journeys" film presentation at the Imagination Pavilion at EPCOT Center in the early 1980s. The pavilion was sponsored by Kodak and so the sponsors' product was interwoven with the theme of imagination as much as possible.
The song was written by the Sherman Brothers and is approximately 9 minutes long in duration, which is the length of the photo journal. The musical arrangement progresses through time as the photo presentation does the same. The history of photography is depicted through pictorial and aural presentation.

The original lyric ended with the phrase: "And memories won't fade away..." Kodak's lawyers were concerned about a pending class action lawsuit against the company, the complaint being that of "fading photo prints". The lyric was subsequently changed to "And happy days can reappear..."
