His Highness Sheikh Maktoum Hasher Al Maktoum (Arabic: شيخ مكتوم المكتوم) is a member of Dubai's ruling family, he is a nephew of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum the current ruler of Dubai.
Sheikh Maktoum received a BSBA in Finance with Honors from Suffolk University, Boston MA, USA. Sheikh Maktoum also serves as CEO of Al Fajer Group which deals in oil barrel manufacture, import/export, textiles, tradeshow management, electromechanical engineering, travel and tourism and construction. As director of Shadar Holdings he is partner in Virgin Megastores, Promod, Pole and Bear, and Bershka in the United Arab Emirates. Sheikh Maktoum is also a non executive for First Africa Oil listed on the UK AIM market (FAO)

Sheikh Maktoum is the Founder, President and Chairman of the A1 Grand Prix racing series.
After an extremely successful 1st season of A1GP, during which Maktoum proved it was an exciting new form of motorsport and that it was economically viable, it was announced on September 29, 2006 that he was to sell his position as Chairman & Director of A1GP [1]
