Manuel Pellegrini

Manuel Pellegrini (born 16 September 1953 in Santiago de Chile) is a Chilean ex-footballer and current manager. As a footballer, he played most of his career for U. de Chile. As a coach, he has managed teams mostly in Argentina and Chile. He has been in charge of Spain's Villarreal CF since 1 July 2004. He led Villarreal CF to the semi-finals of the Champions League in 2005, losing to Arsenal F.C. He is a qualified civil engineer.
