Manuel Ramirez was born in Guadalajara, Mexico son of Jose Ramirez Bussinessman and Guadalupe Barragan He is one of the leading Mexican photographers. Ramirez studied at the Winnona School with Don Blair, Dean Collins, Bambi Cantrell, and Frank Chriccio, among others. he not only studied with the best but most of the times he became close friend with his teachers. He has given lectures in Mexico and the United States, and was a photography teacher at Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara and gives an open class to photography students at the fine arts school of Universidad de Guadalajara he has been a member of the PPA since 1988. Ramirez is best known for his work in advertising and commercial photography. with exhibitions of his work in art galeries also. he won a special price at Bi-annual of photography by conaculta and The Image Center. also an expert in digital technologies and techniques has been teaching all over mexico and south of USA. he is very passionate about photography as an art form and has been collector of old cameras and photographs that shows the mexico of late 1800´s and 1900´s. he is the only mexican photographer member of the Royal Photographic Society
