MARBURY HIGH SCHOOL
Marbury School in Autauga County, Alabama Autauga County, Alabama serves K12 grades 7-12 and is part of the Autauga County School System. As of 2007 the school body consisted of 645 enrolled students and 30 full time teachers with an additional 8 part time teachers. The original school building, est. 1930, was destroyed by fire in March, 1993. A new building, housing Marbury High school, opened in September, 1994. The school our building is currently being remodeled to add an additional six class rooms, a new larger gym, and an auditorium to encompass our growth. Our school mascot is a bulldog, the key symbol of Marbury. Marbury High School offers many different athletic opportunities such as football, baseball, basketball, soccer, wrestling, volleyball, track and field, softball, as well as golf, and cheerleading, for our 2007-2008 school year we are going to began two new athletic program’s which will include tennis, and cross country. Marbury high Schools performing arts programs include show choir, mixed chorus, Marching Band (which received the highest ratings at state competition for our class.), Concert Band, Drama/Theater, ArtI, as well as ArtII. Marbury High School also offers many different extra curricular activities such as Spanish club, National Spanish Honors Society, Student Government Association, Future career And community Leaders Of America, Future Business Leaders Of America, Fellowship Of Christian Students, Fellowship Of Christian Athletes, Future Farmers Of America, Students Against Destructive Dissensions, Beta Club, Junior Beta Club, MHS Pride, Mu Alpha Theta, As well as yearbook club and newspaper production.
