Marc Bombard

Marc Bombard (b. November 15, 1949 in Baltimore, Maryland) was the Philadelphia Phillies first base coach from 2005-2006. He is currently the manager of the Charlotte Knights. Before coaching, Bombard pitched in the Cincinnati Reds organization from 1971 to 1977. In 1978, he became a minor league manager and coach for the Reds. After short careers with the Milwaukee Brewers and Pittsburgh Pirates organizations, he returned to the Reds as manager of the minor league Indianapolis Indians from 1993 to 1995. In 1996, Bombard served as the Reds' third base coach. He joined the Phillies' organization the following year and managed the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Red Barons for eight seasons. He became the Phillies first base coach in 2005. [1]
