Marco Hausiku

Marco Mukoso Hausiku (born November 25, 1953 in Kapako, Okavango region, Namibia) is a Namibian politician. He has been the Foreign Minister of Namibia since May 27, 2004, when he was appointed by President Sam Nujoma following Nujoma's dismissal of the previous foreign minister, Hidipo Hamutenya, in the midst of a struggle within the SWAPO ruling party regarding the nomination of a presidential candidate.[1] Hausiku was previously the Minister of Works, Transport and Communication from 1992 to 1995, Minister of Prisons and Correctional Services from 1995 to 2002, and Minister of Labor from 2002 to 2004.[2]
