Marcus North

Marcus James North ("Snork", the nickname that he has been given) (born 28 July 1979, Pakenham, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia) is an Australian cricket player who has played for the cricket teams of Australian Cricket Academy, Western Australia, Australia A, Durham and Lancashire. He is a left handed batsmen and right arm off-break bowler who generally bats in the High Middle order. He was named vice-captain of the Western Warriors and has captained the team in several matches so far in the 2006-2007 season.
In October 2006 North and Chris Rogers put on a record domestic third wicket partnership of 459, Western Australia v Victoria, at the WACA ground in Perth, Western Australia. His highest score in First Class Cricket is 239*. His First Class average is 44.99 and he has played 89 first class matches scoring 6299 runs along the way. He has hit 16 first class hundreds and 34 first class fifties.
