Maria Leopoldine of Austria

Maria Leopoldine was a daughter of Leopold V, Archduke of Austria and Claudia de' Medici. She was born 6 April 1632 in Innsbrück. On 2 July 1648 in Linz, she married Emperor Ferdinand III. She bore Ferdinand one child, Charles Joseph, Archduke of Austria (7 August 1649), who died in his mid-teens. Maria Leopoldine died in childbirth 7 August 1649, and is buried in the Capuchin monastery in Vienna.
