Mariko Ishihara
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Mariko Ishihara (石原真理子 Ishihara Mariko?, born February 4, 1964) is an actress from Tokyo, Japan. In 1995 she moved to The United States of America, and in 2005 she returned to live in Japan.
On December 6, 2006, she released her autobiography Irregular Secrets (ふぞろいな秘密 Fuzoroi na Himitsu?), a controversial recounting of several personal relationships with celebrities in the 1990s, including Koji Tamaki who was also accused of domestic violence in the book. A movie based on this autobiography is planned.
While the movie was being made, further details about Ishihara's behavior in the United States began to appear. These details contrast sharply with the image of her life portrayed in the book. After moving to Florida, Ishihara (using the name "Marie Ishihara") was convincted in 1997 of stalking a performer at Walt Disney World. She later followed the performer to Las Vegas, where she eventually received a restraining order barring contact with the performer and his friends. After violating the order, she was sentenced to 125 days in jail by the Las Vegas Justice Court on May 14, 2003, being found guilty on five counts of contempt of court.[1]
