Mario Wynands

Mario Wynands is the Managing Director and co-founder of Sidhe Interactive, the largest video game development studio in New Zealand. Mario graduated from Victoria University, Wellington, New Zealand, with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in computer science and a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration majoring in marketing. He then spent a few years as a management consultant until founding Sidhe Interactive in May 1997 with two friends, Tyrone McAuley and Stuart Middleton. He is also currently the president of the New Zealand Game Developers Association.
In both 2003 and 2004, Mario was amongst the twenty three finalists for the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award in New Zealand[1]. In 2006, Mario was a finalist in the Wellingtonian of the Year 2006 awards.
