The "Market for Alternative Investment (mai)" was established under The Securities Exchange of Thailand Act. The mai’s purpose is to create new fund-raising opportunities for innovative business with high potential growth as well as provide a greater range of investment alternatives. It officially commenced operations on June 21, 1999.
