Marnhull

Marnhull is a village in the Blackmore Vale area of north Dorset, England, 3 miles north of Sturminster Newton. The village has a population of 1,951 (2001), 42.3% are retired. The village of scattered houses and farms is situated on a low limestone ridge above the River Stour, across the valley from Stalbridge.
The television adaptation of Thomas Hardy's Tess of the d'Urbervilles was filmed in the village.
