Marquette (automobile)

The Marquette automobile (1929-1930) was built by General Motors Corporation beginning in June, 1929 and was intended to compete with De Soto. A total of 35,007 Marquettes were produced in Flint, Michigan and another 3,418 cars in several Canadian plants. All Marquette engines were L-head six-cylinder 212.8 cubic-inch displacement powerplants rated at 67.5 horsepower.
