Marr College is a state-run secondary school in Troon run by South Ayrshire Council.
[edit] History
Marr College was funded from the money left to the town of Troon by C.K.Marr. It opened in 1935.
[edit] Criticism
The school has come under some criticism for suffering from a profound condition of disrepair, although work has been done within the school to improve these conditions. Rumors abound that a new school building, funded along the lines of a PPP, or Public-Private Partnership, may be constructed on the site of the current school playing fields. This is unconfirmed.
