Martin Q. Blank (played by John Cusack) is a hitman who goes to his ten year high school reunion in the movie Grosse Pointe Blank.
He gets an invitation to his high school reunion in his home town of Grosse Pointe, Michigan. Initially, he doesn't want to go, but his secretary, played by Joan Cusack (John's sister), convinces him to since, coincidentally, he's been sent on a job there anyway.
Martin skipped his high school prom and enlisted in the United States Army. It was noted in his mental evaluation that he had a "certain moral flexibility". He was contracted out to the CIA for "Black Bag" missions. Upon his discharge from the Army he went into business as a contract killer.
