Talk:Marysvale, Utah
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I visited Marysvale, Utah as an accident in August of 2005. The town itself didn't seem very impressive. It is unusual to see that the primary mode of transportation is ATV's. Looking at the surrounding terrain it's easy to see why. The green rolling mini-mountains are very inviting. The primary poinmt of interest for me was a small antique shop located directly behind the convenience store in the town's center. I have been an antique-er for decades and these little out of the way places always turn out to be the best. This one was fabulous. The small shop is open occasionally, by apointment or with a knock on the door of the house next to it. This shop deals only in the authentic trappings of the old cowboy west. It is small but packed with some of the finest artifacts of the romantic cowboy period that I have ever seen. The offerings range from six-shooters to carbines and Saturda-night-goin'-to-town cowgirl's dress to daily ranch work-fare. the owner was patient, knowledgeable and his prices were fair, especially considering the quality of his unique offerings. I wish I could tell you the name of the place but I don't really remember seeing one. If you are interested in this sort of collectible and happen tobe in the area, be sure to allow a little time for a visit to this superior quality collection.
