Massachusetts's 5th congressional district special election, 2007

The U.S. state of Massachusetts will hold a special election to fill an upcoming vacancy in Massachusetts's 5th congressional district. The vacancy will be created by Marty Meehan when he resigns to become the next Chancellor of the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Meehan says he will resign in July 2007. Meehan won reelection in 2006 with 100% of the vote; he was unopposed.
