The comment "*This single became the first number-one hit single in Japan." does this mean "their first number-one hit", meaning the first number one hit for the BeeGees? Or "the first number one hit" meaning the first song tracked and recorded as a hit in the country of Japan. Common sense implies the former, but the actual words imply that latter.
