Material good
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In economics and philosophy, a material good is a good that can be purchased or sold and from which one receives non-spiritual pleasure. Examples of material goods may include televisions, houses, cars, appliances, and many more. In philosophy, material goods are contrasted with spiritual pleasures, and a common theme in literature (for example, in the novel Siddhartha) is the–perhaps exclusive–choice between material goods or spiritual peace.
