Matthew Thornton Elementary School is located near the center of Londonderry, New Hampshire, in the United States. Named after the famous politician Matthew Thornton, the school services children in grades one through five whom live towards the center of town. It has become a popular place for parents to bring their children to play in the playground, despite the removal of some key attractions.

Matthew Thornton Elementary, formerly known as Central School, was established in 1949. It was renovated in 1952, 1960,1965, and 1985. The school was renamed Matthew Thornton Elementary in 1975.
