A matzo plate engraved with the opening words of the Passover Seder, Ha lachma anya ... "This is the bread of affliction that our ancestors ate in Egypt." This bronze plate, designed by Maurice Ascalon, was manufactured by the Pal-Bell Company in Israel during the 1940s.
