Maurice Joshua

Maurice Joshua, also known just as Maurice, born in Chicago, Illinois, is a record producer who is most known for his laid back and soulful House music style remixes. He is most famous for his work with Destiny's Child. His partnership with the group's leader Beyoncé is often compared to the partnership of Mariah Carey and David Morales, because like Carey and Morales, Joshua and Beyoncé often work closely together to have Beyoncé re-sing new vocals to cater to remixes. At The 46th Annual Grammy Awards 2004, his remix of Beyoncé's massive hit "Crazy in Love", known as "Krazy in Luv (Maurice's Nu Soul remix)" won Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical. Together with fellow Chicago DJ's Steve "Silk" Hurley and Eric "E-Smoove" Miller, they were at the forefront of a House music remixing boom in the early to mid 90's, re-producing artists like Ce Ce Peniston, Malaika and Michael Jackson, amongst many other pop artists.
In October 2004 This Is Acid appeared in the popular videogame Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, playing on House Music radio station SF-UR.
