Talk:Maugrim
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I think that, since the original text of the books labels the wolf "Fenris Ulf," this entry should be labeled "Fenris Ulf" as well, and that "Maugrim" searches should redirect to it and not the other way around.
- The article doesn't provide any real proof that C.S. Lewis's wishes were for the name to be changed. His name was "Maugrim" in the original, and the only place I know that it was different was in early American editions. In Britian, I do believe it's always been Maugrim. Should this article be a disambiguation page? 'Cause there's more than one character in fiction called Maugrim, such as one of the Villains in the game Neverwinter Nights. Jacob "Badger Head" Morris 07:49, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Maugrim alive?!
This article seems to imply that he survived. I hate to tell you, but in the book and the movie, he was rendered distinctly mutton-like by the actions of one Peter Pevensie. His death in both cases was the reason for King Peter's knighthood. Where did this nonsense come from? Johno 12:32, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
- Nope, you've just caught an article in a bad state. I've tried to clean it up a litte, but I don't have a lot of time, nor my books at hand, so if you can expand on the beginnings please do so! --Fbv65edel / ☑t / ☛c || 03:54, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Fenris ulf
Actually, I just read the book last night, and his name was Fenris Ulf. I promise that's what I read.
