Mavis Leno
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Mavis Nicholson Leno is a political activist working on behalf of women's rights. In 1997 she joined the Board of Directors of the Feminist Majority Foundation, becoming chair of the Campaign to Stop Gender Apartheid in Afghanistan.
Her husband is talk show host Jay Leno. A leading feminist in California, as well as the United States and internationally, she keeps a low profile in comparison to her husband, choosing instead to work behind the scenes of the non profit, politically-charged groups she supports and runs.
