Maximum The Hormone (マキシマムザホルモン, Makishimamu Za Horumon^?) is a four-member Japanese rock band, sporting a hard sound different from many mainstream J-rock bands (leaning closer to metal). Their song Koi No Mega Lover reached number 9 on the Oricon charts during the summer of 2006, and was their first top-ten hit in Japan. The band had two of their songs, What's up, people?! and Zetsubou Billy, featured as the opening and ending tracks, respectively, of the Death Note anime series.^[1]
