Maximus Ongkili

Hon. Datuk Dr. Maximus J. Ongkili is from Sabah,Malaysia. In 2004 he was appointed by Abdullah Badawi as the Cabinet Minister to the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department with a special role promoting National Unity and Integration.
He was born on 26 October 1953. His wife is Joan Maluda and they have 2 children.
He holds a Ph.D. degree in Agricultural Economics from La Trobe University, Australia and completed fellowship and summer programmes at the United Nations University, Tokyo and Harvard Institute for International Development, Boston.
