Max Berry (Born on November 12, 1987) is an American-born newspaper journalist, most known for his work with The Independent Florida Alligator and The Orlando Sentinel.
Born to Kay and Michael Berry in Memphis, Tennessee, Max moved with his family to Sanford, Florida in April of 1988. After living in a handful of apartments, the family settled in to a house zoned for Pinecrest Elementary, where Max attended school until halfway into his first grade year.
In June of 1996, the family moved to Lake Mary, Florida, but in 2000, Kay and Michael separated, leading Michael to move to a nearby apartment.
Max attended Lake Mary High School from 2002 to 2006, where in three years with the newspaper publication, The Rampage, he moved up the rankings as far as editor-in-chief in charge of sports by his senior year.
In November of 2003, Max was contracted by The Sentinel as a varsity sports freelancer and stayed with them until August of 2006. In August of 2005, Max furthured his journalism experience when he began working as a radio and TV correspondent for Friday Night Football, a local high school sports radio and TV show.
In the fall of 2006, Max enrolled at Santa Fe Community College and took a job with The Alligator, a student newspaper run by University of Florida and Santa Fe students. He also continued his role as a freelancer, but instead worked with The Gainesville Sun for location purposes.
