Maykopsky District (Russian: Майко́пский райо́н; Adyghe: Мыекъуапэ район) is one of the seven districts of the Republic of Adygea, Russia. The area of the district is 3,730 km²[citation needed]. Its administrative center is the urban-type settlement of Tulsky. District's population: 58,485 (2002 Census); 58,593 (1989 Census). Population of Tulsky accounts for 18.0% of the district's population.

- ^ A new aul was formed on the territory of Maykopsky District (3 km north-east of Maykop on the Maykop–Labinsk autoroute) by the Law of the Republic of Adygea #23 of August 10, 2006 On Formation and Establishing Borders of a Rural Locality on the Territory of the Municipal Formation of "Maykopsky District". As of 2007, the aul has not yet been officially named. However, there was an attempt to create this aul out of process in October 2005, at which time its name was recorded as Mafekhabl.
