This should really be listed under "MD 20/20," the name on its label. The "MD" actually stands for "Mogen David," the name of the company which makes it. The name "Mad Dog" is a nickname given by people who drink the stuff, in light of its highly intoxicating effects.
MD 20/20 is exclusively found in the liquor/package stores of the inner city. Many people see it as a systematic method of keeping minorities addicted to alcohol and unemployed.
- You can also find it in a lot of convenience stores, and it's even available in several Food Lion grocery stores in the Raleigh, NC area. Mad Dog isn't hard to find anywhere, if you know where to look for it. 74.245.91.25 16:04, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
I wouldn't say it's exclusively found in the inner city. It's available pretty much everywhere in the Northern VA suburbs, and that's not exactly a rough area. It's a drink for college kids and 20-somethings to drink cheaply too.
