MDFMK
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
MDFMK was formed by two members of KMFDM, Sascha Konietzko and Tim Skold, following a brief break-up of KMFDM. Lucia Cifarelli of Drill rounded out the trio. After KMFDM announced they would never play again together, they were offered a spot on the Heavy Metal F.A.K.K.2 (track name was Missing Time), so they formed again, and to save face they called themselves MDFMK. KMFDM later re-formed anyway with the 2002 album Attak.[citation needed]
They released a self titled album, MDFMK, on Universal Records, not to be confused with the earlier KMFDM single of the same name. Sascha Konietzko and Lucia Cifarelli have since reformed KMFDM with several other artists but without Tim Skold. Sascha, Lucia, and Skold have not released any other material as MDFMK.
MDFMK's work contained elements of KMFDM's earlier industrial rock, but was also heavily influenced by Skold, Tim Skold's solo release. It contains hints of trance and europop, primarily in the slick, smooth synthesizer and production.
