Talk:Media ethics
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This is a stub, but gives introduction to an area of ethics I find interesting and would like to investigate even further. Please jump in, be bold, but also, please be NPOV and lets try not to turn this into some "some say" "others say" article, but rather a succinct and clear, balanced treatment of media ethics questions and issues. Having worked hard on the article at Journalism standards and ethics, I thought it would be interesting to move up the ladder and deal with the wider universe of media ethics, incompassing as it does issues outside the field of journalism and the news industry; treating, in part, the ethical questions brought up by various aspects of media economics as well. Links and references added are research starters, but not meant to reflect how I'd like to see this develop. Calicocat 17:52, 26 Apr 2005 (UTC)
One-and-half years later, a bold addition :) Some ideas for further extending this article:
- History of media ethics
- Major contributors to media ethical thought
- Expansion of sections on relations with law and media economics
