[edit] Sources for GWR 4073 Class 5029 Nunney Castle
Hello, good work on GWR 4073 Class 5029 Nunney Castle, and thanks for the contribution. However, you did not provide any references or sources in the article. Keeping Wikipedia accurate and verifiable is very important, and as you might be aware there is currently a push to encourage editors to cite the sources they used when adding content. From what websites, books, or other places did you learn the information that you added to GWR 4073 Class 5029 Nunney Castle? Would it be possible for you to mention them in the article? You can simply add links, or see WP:CITET if you wish to review some of the different citation methods. Thanks! BRIAN0918 00:12, 5 December 2005 (UTC)
Provided references as requested. Medcroft 17:20, 26 December 2005
[edit] Famous Photos from WW2
With regards to your objection, the deletion proposal was not made because of PC reasons, but rather becausethe creator of the article appears to be using Wikipedia to host files for use in a highschool class, which is not what Wikipedia is for. If you still object to the deletion then you may remove the tag. Fightindaman 23:13, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re: Famous Photos from WW2
Hello Fightindaman, I am sorry if I have mistakenly accused you of being PC - it just looked like it. Nevertheless, I do not think that these images are a harm to anyone, and even if published for use within an educational environment, as far as I can make out, they do not infringe wikipedia's T&C. Please respond if you think that I am wrong - having a little problem myself at the moment over a very small and little known castle in England! Regards Medcroft 23:32, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
PS Have removed the tag - but please lets not row about it!
[edit] Accusing EGGS of vandalism
When another user adds a cleanup tag to your article, you don't need to take it personally; it's just a reminder of how an article can be improved. There's no reason to accuse an honest editor of the serious crime of vandalism. In the future, please try to adopt a more constructive attitude. Thanks, Melchoir 04:56, 13 February 2006 (UTC)
- Hello Melchoir, Last night we were busy tidying up references to GWR Castle Class locomotives - before we had finished on the first of three that we were working on - he leapt in with a "confusing" tag and also on the two subsequent entries. I also note that he has not intervened in any other references to Castle Class locomotives (of which there are many!) It seems to us that this chap has an adversion to anything with which he feels he has an issue. We therfore feel that "vandalism" is the appropriate term. This chap has clearly lost the plot - hence our position on this. With our very best wishes. Medcroft 02:29, 14 February 2006 (UTC)
