[edit] Merkey Article
Please stop removing content from Wikipedia; it is considered vandalism. If you want to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Waya sahoni 19:20, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
- I restored verified content in place of your unverified claims. This is a content dispute, not vandalism. -- MediaMangler 20:27, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Semi-automated template substitution
- This page was modified to semi-automatically substitute templates using Pathoschild's template list. // Tawker 19:11, 12 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Removal of Dispute and NPOV Tags
Removal of these tags is a violation of Wikipedia Policy and you can be blocked for it. A dispute has been opened. Like it or not, other editors are going to review this article and you and your friends who spin and distort content had better get used to it. Waya sahoni 06:30, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
- Unless you actually provide some verifiable facts to support your position, the tags will eventually be removed again. I may have jumped the gun. — MediaMangler 06:38, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
- Touch the tags again and I'll ask one of the Administrators working on the project to block you from doing so again. I am not here to rain on your parade, but you and your associates are using Wikipedia as a platform for political and anti-competitive rhetoric about this person. I am here to write about their Native American contributions. This person is native and notable, and I do not appreciate information from our people being skewed and spun by you and your compatriots. The grownups have arrived -- behave and act like you are housebroken on this site. My patience with your antics and vitriolic commentary and personal attacks is at an end. Waya sahoni 06:53, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
-
- Don't worry Merkey, I won't remove the tags. I'll leave that for one of the admins when they block your current account in accord with your permanent block. — MediaMangler 06:59, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
-
- More personal attacks and poison. No sense reasoning with someone like you. Waya sahoni 07:07, 23 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Reverting to Dubious Sources barred by RFC Jeffrey Vernon Merkey
Please do not attempt a revert war on the content. It will only be restored tommorrow and a possible meditation case opened to enforce the RFC. Thanks. Waya sahoni 03:27, 5 March 2006 (UTC)
- If Mediamangler won't revert your deletions on the Jeffrey Vernon Merkey article, I will. I'm sure I'm not alone. You've ignored consensus on both the LKML and Jeffrey Vernon Merkey articles. You lost that RFC. You deliberately chose not to count the 9 votes who voted against you in the only way possible that didn't mean signing their name to either a misrepresentation of their argument or an ad-hominem attack on themselves, both written by you. Go ahead and open mediation if you like. Maybe it'll catch the admin's attention long enough for them to do something about this autobiographical POV-warring of yours. --Aim Here 03:53, 5 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sockpuppet template: unintended consequences
Thanks for the tip about the unintended consequences of my full quotation of the text from WP:SOCK at User_talk:Talks_to_birds#Let.27s_Drop_the_Charade
Certainly not what I had in mind :-/

[edit] Answers Please
- You say Waya sahoni made threats after being blocked? Can you point the wiki locations out so I can view them for myself? This is the only way I'll accept that he did make the alleged threats. Otherwise, I'll continue to believe he did not make any threats after being blocked. --Bookofsecrets 05:24, 18 March 2006 (UTC)
- It does not matter what Jimbo Wales thinks of Jeff. Jimbo is afraid of being sued by a lawyer, Jeff Merkey. --Bookofsecrets 11:56, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Stop Censorship
I'm continually dumbfounded by the ignorants on Wikipedia pretending to know something when they don't, and as yourself, their sole contribution is to censor. You're one of those who should be banned. Someone with LIMITED knowledge of Astrology is pretending that they're qualified to make pronouncements regarding "modern Astrology". So, I was setting the record straight as regarding what SERIOUS cutting edge Astrologers are doing - since I'm one of them! Stick to topics you're capable of understanding. I'll have to report the fakes, as yourself, and the ignorants who keep censoring the Police State article. 67.0.219.193 19:08, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Deletion of content from Jeffrey Vernon Merkey
I have sent you the email from my home address. Please do not take any hasty actions. Danny 17:26, 15 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] RfC request
I have been attacked one time too many by User:Andrew Homer - see his response to my last request he stop personal attacks [1] I am going to start an RfC and I was hoping you would certify it as a user who tried to resolve the problem. If you will leave a message about this on my talk page I set up for this purpose, you can also see more about it as I am drafting the RfC there.

[edit] Calling programmers
We need coders for the WikiProject Disambigation fixer. We need to make a program to make faster and easier the fixing of links. We will be happy if you could check the project. You can Help! --Neo139 09:07, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Riders in the chariot
Do you mean that even a referenced quotation is not permitted in a user page? No quotes at all? Tony 15:11, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
- I'm no expert, but my understanding is that the only provision allowing for verbatim quotation of a copyrighted work is fair-use. Wikipedia policy prohibits fair-use on user pages. A quotation might be usable in an article about the author, but even then fair-use requires it to be very short. Note, that the limitations on fair-use is not just an arbitrary fiat from Wikipedia but rather is a requirement imposed upon Wikipedia by copyright.
- Once again, it was Danny who actually deleted the text. The Wikimedia Foundation pays him to deal with such issues (among others). He is one of the people taking calls from irate copyright holders and I'm sure he has been forced to learn more about copyright than I ever want to know. -- MediaMangler 15:35, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
