[edit] Request Information
- Request made by: user jacklk
- Where is the issue taking place?
- Wikipedia web page for Sue Kelly, Congresswoman from New York
- Who's involved?
- user jjetski
- What's going on?
- jjetski repeatedly deletes carefully referenced factual material about the
Congresswoman that I have added.
- What would you like to change about that?
- Explain wikipedia policies to jjetski so that he knows he simply cannot
delete factual, referenced material that explains the congresswoman's positions, just because he is a political supporter or member of her campaign.
- Would you prefer we work discreetly? If so, how can we reach you?

[edit] Mediator response
This is a sensitive issue dealing with a biography of a living person, but I have looked at the article briefly and removed some external links that seem to have little to do with the subject of the article and more with her opponent. The information does appear to be factual, and I'm not exactly sure if it's necessary to say she did not vote for certain bills, but as the information is verifiable, I see no trouble with including it.
However, I have asked jjetski to go to the talk page to discuss his reasoning for removing the information. Remember to remain civil with him, as well. This doesn't seem to be too major of an issue since he only removed the information twice, so I will just watch over the issue from the background (I'm trying to clean up the backlog here in the Mediation Cabal, so I may seem a bit distracted, as well :) ). Thanks. Cowman109Talk 20:52, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
