Megan Slankard is a 23-year-old female vocalist, musician, and recording artist from California. She gained popularity when she appeared on an episode of TLC's What Not Tot Wear in July 2004. Slankard's vocal style is slightly reminiscent of Alanis Morissette, but with much of her own style predominating.
Slankard has collaborated with David Knopfler on his 2005 album, Ship of Dreams, co-writing the title song of the album. In 2005, Acoustic Guitar magazine included her second album, Freaky Little Story, in their top 5 list. She and the Megan Slankard Band have performed in various cities across the U.S.
Megan Slankard is a member of One Percent for the Planet.
