Man, she is awesome, she plays drums perfectly for the white stripes, and they would sound terrible with most drummers. They deliberately don't keep perfect rhythm, half the character of the music woudl be lost if they did.

the hell she is! she's a good drummer because she knows her place, i mean, almost every drummer wants to show off AND THAT REALLY SUCKS sometimes you need to do a smaller job to get a greater music and she knows that. she's awesome.
Her style has a distinctive charm and a more polished one would not suit the band at all. I could not imagine have becoming as obssessional over them as I currently am if they had had an archtype bashing things instead of her characterful (if undeniably arhythmical) bashings.
She certainly beats Ringo Starr...

I WANT THIS REMOVED. Meg is a fuckin awesome drummer, she brings a load of unique simplicity on the drums unlike you Anti White Stripes fags who like all the bigger, faster, cooler stuff. I don't get what's wrong. So a drummer has a unique way of playing. That's great. A drummer dosen't need all this shit about his/her playing. A drummer can play anyway he/she wants to, there's no special way of playing that all drummers have to go by. So I want all this crap removed in the next 7 days. If not, I will erase it. I'm putting a trivia in. There's tons more things we all know about her, that we're probably just too lazy to stick in. [edit] Early life/Personal Life
Why does info about her marriage to Jack White specifically fall under 'early life' rather than 'personal life'? 'Early Life' sections on wikipedia almost exclusively cover the person's childhood and adolescense, as opposed to 'anything before they were famous'. If we don't have any info right now about her childhood, we don't need a 'Early Life' section. This is just needlessly cluttering up the page, when the info about her marriage could easily be categorized as 'Personal life'. Rodeosmurf 20:21, 22 June 2006 (UTC)

Minor point: there are no hospitals in Grosse Pointe Farms. Bon Secour Hospital is in Grosse Pointe City, or she could have been born at St. Johns, in Detroit very close to the Farms. Or she could have been born outside a hospital. A2Kafir 01:33, 6 July 2006 (UTC)

We can't link this. I got this from the WS trivia on their vh1 page, which asked various questions about them. It gave a fact about the answer on top of the question after that. The question was "What job did Meg have before she was a drummer", which was Bartender, and the fact for it said that bourbon is her favorite tipple. Good band, but I don't think Meg deserves more than a cursory article. She definitely deserves her own based on her fashion activities. She's got some interesting, positive qualities, and I don't see why people need to trash her. I actually like her drumming. Maybe I'm just a latecomer to the White Stripes, having just bought Get Behind Me Satan, but she's actually pretty good. I find the story about her being the drummer for NIN absolutely ludicrous, because that would be totally out of her league. She'd have to practice for a year to get "March of the Pigs" down. Still, she's good at what she does. The guy above who was enamored of her breasts is right on target. Those are really impressive, especially from such a slender woman. She's got a kind of jolie-laide look that's half country girl and half model/performer. Write neutrally, or leave her be. She's a competent rock star. Billy Blythe 18:23, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
