Meheri

Meheri is one of the largest tribes inhabiting Yemen Al Mahra State, Somalia, and other Arabian countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Oman,Qatar, Saudi Arab and Kuwait.
Meheri people who inhabit Somalia are mainly of the Bin Neebir sub-clan (Mohamud Salah, Hassan Salah, Omar Musse And ), Bin Mashowle (Reer Cali Siciid, Reer Canshuur) And Bin Bixdi (Reer Cawad, Reer Taabid. The Meheris are resourceful merchants who took lions share in finding and establishing most of urban Somali communities (cities & towns) and overall advancement of Somali civilization.
It is well known fact that prominent Meheri business people reside in the centre of town and cities of Somalia from coast to coast. Their contribution to the country is of immense proportions comparing to size of this noble community. The Meheri are part of Al Bu Muhair tribe which itself part of Bani Yas.
