Mehmood Sham

Mehmood Sham is an Urdu-language journalist of Pakistan. He is the editor of the newspaper the Daily Jang. He also writes poems in Urdu and has authored many books.

Mehmood Sham chief editor of Pakistani media conglomerate “Jang Group” a famous, renowned and respected name in Pakistani journalism. He did his MA in philosophy from Govt college Lahore a well reputed educational institute from where Faiz Ahmed Faiz graduated. He was the editor of the magazine “Ravi” . He started his career along with his education. Due to his economic needs he worked very hard. He gradated from Govt college Jhang a famous city of Pakistani Punjab. There he was also editor of college magazine. Then he joined weekly “ Qandeel” a magazine of Nawai e Waqat group in Lahore in 1962. In 1967 he joined it as assistant editor. He traveled dozens pf foreign countries and is author of several books. Recently his book” Mamlikat o Maklikat is published.
