Melanie Reinhart

Melanie Reinhart - prominent, contemporary astrologer, author, lecturer and psychotherapist based in the UK. She is an award-winning diploma holder of the Faculty of Astrological Studies, winning the Margaret Hone award for advanced interpretation in 1979. She was awarded the Charles Harvey Award for 'exceptional service to astrology' in 2004 at the Astrological Association conference, and will present the Charles Carter Memorial Lecture in September at the Association's 2007 Conference.

She has offered consultations, lectures and workshops in England, Europe, the USA, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa and has taught for some of the best astrological schools and orginsations worldwide, including the Centre for Psychological Astrology, the Faculty of Astrological Studies, the London School of Astrology, the Astrological Lodge of London and Astro*Synthesis.

Melanie was born in Zimbabwe 'whose night skies inspired her vocation of astrology at an early age'^[1]. She holds a B.A. Degree in English, Music and Drama, and has been a professional astrologer since 1975. Her published work blends a factual, research based approach with a symbolic, mythological perspective. Her study of Chiron is among the most well respected in the field and she is one of only a few astrologers to do serious empirical and intuitive research on the other Kuiper Belt Objects, the named centaurs.

She writes regularly for Caduceus magazine

She is also a musician and has taken part in performances of Rumi poetry. Her latest recording is Awakening Love: The Mystical poetry of Rumi and Hafez in Dari / Farsi and English with musical accompaniment.
