Melton Hill Dam

Melton Hill Dam is a Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) hydroelectric dam on the Clinch River, a tributary of the Tennessee River, in the U.S. state of Tennessee. The reach of the river where the dam is located forms the border between Roane and Loudon counties. The Roane County side of the dam is in the city of Oak Ridge.

The reservoir provides nearly 193 miles (311 km) of shoreline and 5,470 acres (22 km²) of water surface for recreation. Melton Hill is the only TVA dam on a tributary stream (i.e., not on the Tennessee River) with a navigation lock. The dam is 103 feet (31 m) high and stretches 1,020 feet (311 m) across the Clinch River. The electric power generation capacity of Melton Hill is 72 megawatts.

Construction of Melton Hill Dam began in 1960 and was completed in 1963.
